Accutase is a cell detachment solution of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. It has been developed to meet the most demanding requirements for gentle and effective detachment of adherent cells. It is useful for the routine detachment of cells from standard tissue culture plasticware and adhesion-coated plasticware.
The advantages of Accutase over the traditional Trypsin/EDTA treatment are that it is less damaging to cells, thus leading to increased viability, and no inactivation of the enzymes by inhibitors or serum is required.
