Donor Horse Serum is used for diagnostic assays, supplementation during mycoplasma growth, or for cultivation of hematopoietic stem cells and neuronal cells.
Donor Horse Serum contains more immunoglobulins than fetal bovine serum (FBS) and has an increased protein content. It is a cost-effective alternative to fetal bovine serum.
Donor Horse Serum involves a controlled collection of the raw serum, as closed herds can be used. In contrast to slaughtered horses, donor horse serum has a lower endotoxin content and exhibits a lower level of batch-to-batch variation.
